The Carroll County Commission meets Monday, June 12 at 7 p.m. at the County Office Complex with eleven resolutions to consider along with three proclamations. Resolution 6-03-2023 is the county’s $30 million budget. Related to the budget resolution is Resolution 6-02-2023 setting the tax rate at $1.4131 on each $100 of taxable property, there is no tax increase for the 2023-24 fiscal year. Included in the proposed budget are non-profit organization contributions. The non-profits are part of Resolution 6-01-2023 for $58,000 to the following organizations: Rescue Squad $8,000; Gordon Browning Museum $5,000; McKenzie Memorial Library $6,000; Carl Perkins $25,000; TN Rehab Center $500; McKenzie Senior Citizens $200; Carroll County Shooting Sports Park $10,000; and the WRAP Organization $3,823.
