Conservative McMahan Seeking House 76 Seat
From the Aug 4, 2020 e-Edition
As our country slides deeper into turmoil with rioters, looters, calls to defund the police, and our economy under attack by the Democrats using the Chinese coronavirus as an excuse to steal our civil liberties; now more than ever, the leadership we send to Nashville so important.
At the end of the day the only protections we have from an overreaching federal government is our state and the 2nd amendment.
I, John McMahan, am asking that you send me to Nashville to have a strong, clear, and unwavering voice in our state government.
As a local businessman, law enforcement veteran and community leader, I have been endorsed by Obion County Sheriff Karl Jackson, State House District 77 Representative Rusty Grills, and countless community leaders. I believe my experience in both the private and public sector enables me to be a leader in the state legislature from day one. I have served as County Republican Chairman, as well as County Captain, for the Trump for Presidential campaign. I am a staunch conservative, and I am guided by my faith and my philosophy, “Help your neighbor, defend our constitutional freedoms, and protect our traditional West Tennessee family values.”
I currently co-own and operate a commercial information technology company in Weakley County. Fifteen years ago, I founded The Mobile PC Guys after leaving an extensive career in law enforcement. The Mobile PC Guys have received multiple local and state awards, including Weakley County’s 2019 Business of the Year.
I am pro-life, pro-family, pro-small business and I am a staunch supporter of the 2nd Amendment. I am a member of both the National Rifle Association and the Tennessee Firearms Association and serve as an NRA firearms instructor.
I had an extensive career in law enforcement with over 20 years serving the communities of Obion, Henderson, and Gibson counties. I was honored to receive the Law Enforcement Medal of Valor, Law Enforcement Purple Heart, and a distinguished citation from Tennessee’s governor.
I have also served my community in numerous philanthropic causes. I am a member of the Weakley County Chamber of Commerce, an Extra Class Amateur radio operator, and a Master Mason at Mt. Vernon Lodge #159 in Sharon, Tennessee.
My wife Christina and I have three daughters, a son and five grandchildren. We are a certified foster family and enjoy helping children in need. My family attended Grace Community Church in Martin until its closure and I was honored to serve as a missionary to Haiti.
I would ask that you evaluate the candidates for this position and choose the most qualified, most conservative candidate that will fight for our way of life. With candidates in the race that want to expand Medicaid in Tennessee, costing billions of taxpayers’ dollars; and candidates that in 2008 either voted for Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama, it’s more important than ever to ask the tough questions and choose a bona fide Republican to represent House District 76. I believe I am that candidate and would appreciate your vote and support.
