DICKSON, Tenn. - Funeral services for Fannie May Murphy are Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Burial is at Carroll Memorial Garden McKenzie.

Mrs. Murphy, 91, a retired loan officer, died Saturday at NHC of Dickson. She was born in McKenzie on June 21, 1932 to Lonnie and Alma Williams Akers.

She is survived by her husband, Arnold Murphy of Dickson, daughter, Nancy Evans of Nashville, son, Kenneth and daughter-in-law, Vickie Murphy of Old Hickory, Tenn., sister, Linda Sue Climer of Jefferson, North Carolina, one step-daughter, Sharon Weiland of Gallatin, Tenn., step-son, Billy Murphy of Gallatin, three grandchildren, Shelby Murphy, Delaney Murphy, Tyler Murphy and step-granddaughter, Dr. Katrina Weiland and four great-grandchildren, Mahki Murphy, Anna Leigh Murphy, Everly Murphy and Emelia Murphy.

She is preceded in death by her twin sister, Annie Faye Cook, sister, Bertha Martin and brothers, Curtis Akers and Lonnie Aker, Jr.
