Late Summer Vegetables Available at Farmers Market

Posted
McKENZIE —  The McKenzie Farmers Market still has late summer vegetables including tomatoes, okra, squash, zucchini, onions and peas. In addition, our vendors have great breads, cookies, Mexican cornbread, relishes, jams, jellies, crocheted items, natural cleaning products, candles, home décor and more.

Mark your calendar for Thursday, September 15, 6 p.m. at the downtown Veterans Park when all of our Farmers Market vendors are invited to set up in the town square. They will be taking part in the city-wide celebration for McKenzie winning the statewide award for “Small City Progress.” Three of the city’s long-time business owners who are retiring will also be honored for their service to McKenzie residents for many years. We will be recognizing Dr. James Padgett, Marvin Newman, and Linda Coleman. There will be free hot dogs, chips, drinks, and lots of goodies. Music begins at 7 p.m. with the Fajita Brothers Band.

The McKenzie Farmers Market is open Saturdays, 8 a.m. until noon or until vendors sell out,  and Tuesdays, 3-6 p.m.

We’ll see you at the Farmers Market!
