Farmers Market News

Posted
A few of our vendors are on vacation, but we still have plenty of fresh produce. Shoppers were able to take home heirloom tomatoes, canning tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, okra, squash, zucchini, onion, cucumbers, peas, beans and honeydew melons. We expect some delicious watermelons and cantaloupes Saturday,  August 13.

This week, our vendors spotlight is on the LNO Company. The name stands for its two very creative young entrepreneurs, Lilly and Olivia Walker. The sisters started out making their own room decor at home, and their mother suggested since they were creative and crafty, they might take it to the next level and sell their home decor at the farmers market. The sisters have a very attractive booth with lots of great items including wrist key rings, signs, pillows, planters, jewelry, and the mystery balls that are a real hit with young children.

The farmers market also has lots of delicious breads, rolls, pies, cakes, jams, jellies, fresh eggs, freeze-dried candles, delicious tamales, coffee and iced coffee. We have all-natural insect repellents, candles, and cleaning products. Catherine and Sarah McDonald should return with their baked items and crocheted toys and baby clothes.

The Farmers Market is open Saturdays from 8 a.m. until noon, or until vendors sell out. It is also open Tuesdays from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m.

We will see you at the Farmers Market!
