Preaching from the Rooftop

McKenzie (August 7) — Reverend Rob Harris told his congregation he would preach from the rooftop if the attendance on Easter Sunday reached 300. It did and he did.

On Sunday, August 7, Harris climbed the ladder to the rooftop and preached as the congregation sat in lawnchairs on the front lawn of the church, located on Highland Drive. The temperatures were in the mid- to upper-80s during the worship service. The service was followed by an add-a-dish luncheon.
