McKENZIE — Fred Arden Washburn, 99, died January 8, 2023, at Baptist Hospital-Carroll County. He was born July 2, 1923, in Henderson County to Vester A. and Ardell Dovie Ross Washburn.
Funeral services are Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Caledonia Cemetery, McKenzie. Pallbearers to serve are Michael Fred Washburn, Jerry Wayne Washburn, Brad Allen, Kenny Allen, Jason Pinson and Larry Maynard.
Mr. Washburn is a retired cattle farmer and a member of Caledonia Church.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel Washburn of McKenzie, daughters, Cathy (David) Bullard of McKenzie, Janice Kay (Kenneth) Jester of Florida, and Diane (David) Ross of Clarksville, sons, Jerry Wayne Washburn (Mary Alice) of Gallatin, Michael Fred  Washburn (Jeanne) of Thomaston, Georgia, Acie (Dee) Maynard of McKenzie and Larry (Ann) Maynard of Gallatin, two sisters, Louise Moore of Camden and Arlene Davis of McKenzie, a brother, Wayford Washburn, Sr. of McKenzie, twenty-two grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Linda Jane Allen Nunnley, two sons, Jimmy Arden Washburn and Larry Gene Washburn and his brothers, Billy Junior Washburn, James Lloyd Washburn and Leo Washburn.
