Huntingdon Hosts Veterans Day Program

Posted
HUNTINGDON (November 11) — Huntingdon High School held its annual Veterans Day program in the high school library because of audio issues in the gym. A handful of veterans attended to enjoy the program. Principal Porshe McClerking welcomed everyone to the program and turned it over to students who led the remainder. A presentation of colors was followed by the ‘Star Spangled Banner’ and the Pledge of Allegiance. Ms. Jani Harris did a scripture reading and prayer followed by a history of Veterans Day by Lia Fuller. The audience watched a video of the ‘Armed Forces Salute’. The program ended with a moment of silence and the playing of ‘Taps’. A reception was held after the program.
