HUNTINGDON — Mr. Lester Johnson, 91, of Huntingdon, Tenn. died Monday, October 25, 2021 at Huntingdon Health and Rehab Center.
Funeral services were Friday, October 29, 2021 at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment was in the Humbles Cemetery.
Mr. Lester Johnson was born November 30, 1929 to the late James Webb and Ada Johnson. He was a farmer and also worked at H.I.S. in Bruceton. He was also a member of Smyrna Baptist Church. Other than his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Bettye Jean Johnson; four sisters: Mary Sue Parker, Manon Barnett, Ollie Walker and Emma Jean Nesbitt; five brothers: Gerald Hampton, Fred Johnson, Willie C. Johnson, J.C. Webb, Sr. and James Johnson; one daughter, Sandra Nadine Porter; one son, Kenneth Ray Hampton; one grandson, Joseph Lee Willis; and two step-children, Terry and Timothy Arnold.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Johnson; two daughters, Jeannie (Steve) Mays and Linda Willis; four sons: Lester Undra Johnson, Robert (Carolyn) Johnson, Charles (Jacqueline) Johnson, and Corey (Kim) Johnson. He is also survived by two sisters, Mattie (Rev. Ivey) Jamison and Patricia Webb; and six brothers, Tice (Geneva) Hampton, Buford (Annie) Webb, Arthur (Stephanie) Webb, Riley (Kim) Webb, and Jessie (Cynthia) Webb.
He also leaves 20 grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and six step-children: Rodney Arnold, Darryl Arnold, Millicent (Elie) Albert, Gregory Loundon, Clyde (Phyllis) Loundon, Sonya (Earnest) Nugent.
