Local Author to Host Book Launch, Signing
From the Feb 3, 2026 e-Edition
McKENZIE — Local author E. J. Price recently unveiled her gripping debut novel, The Tribe: Phoenix Rising, a story that blends intense action, intriguing crime and swoon-worthy romance into one overarching tale of hope.
The book, published by Christian Faith Publishing, is available online through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million and Walmart.
Set against the backdrop of an unnamed city, The Tribe: Phoenix Rising follows Britton and his friends, victims of sex trafficking, as they plot an escape and make a plan to bring down their abusers while also battling their own inner demons and finding faith, family and love along the way.
"This book is the result of a series of dreams, one continuous story, that remained stuck in my head, demanding to become words on paper," says Price. "It's a work that was four years in the making, and a story that I believe is for everyone no matter their walk of life. Seeing it come to fruition is a dream come true. My greatest hope for it is that it will be a light in the darkness for someone else."
Price is a McKenzie native, where many have known her for her cake artistry. This is her first venture into publishing after a lifelong love of reading.
Price will host a book launch and signing at The Happy Book Stack on Sunday, February 8 from 2-4 p.m.
