Mrs. Smith was born on October 13, 1938, in Medina, Tennessee, to the late Troy Dayton and Ethel (Todd) Roberts. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-two years, Merel Smith, two sisters, Gladys Aylor, Myra Foote, and a brother, Dayton Roberts.
She is survived by two sons, Kevin Smith (Melinda) of Holladay and Kent Smith (Susan) of Yuma. She also leaves six grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Chase Funeral Home, Huntingdon, Tenn.
