    McKENZIE (October 4) — On Tuesday evening, the City of McKenzie held a special called meeting where Ryan White’s interim tag was removed making him the chief of police. White, a 21-year veteran of the McKenzie Police Department, has served as the interim chief of police since September 17 following the sudden retirement of Craig Moates.

    HUNTINGDON (October 6) — Spectrum will extend high-speed internet, cable TV and telephone services to another 4,600 houses in rural Carroll County, thanks to federal, state, and a county grant. The announcement was made to an audience of approximately  75 area citizens at the Colonial Tea Room on Thursday, October 6.

    Burglary/Theft — Caleb Huddleston, of McKenzie, came to the police department on Sunday, October 9 to report someone had stolen his cell phone out of his vehicle while parked at a local convenience store. Huddleston told Chief Ryan White that he had a flat tire and left his vehicle until the next day. The phone was described as a blue Moxee brand android smart phone.
