McKenzie Baseball, Hollow Rock-Bruceton Softball Remain Alive in State Tournament

Spring Fling (May 25, 2023)  - The McKenzie Rebels baseball and the Hollow Rock-Bruceton softball teams remain alive in the state Class 1A tournaments in the Spring Fling in the Murfreesboro area.

McKenzie has won two and lost one to move to the semi-final round. McKenzie won the first game on Tuesday against University School  - JC 5-1 and lost to East Robertson on Wednesday by a score of 6 to 5. Moving to the loser's bracket, the Rebels claimed a 13-1  victory over the Bradford Red Devils.

Today, the Rebels play East Robertson again at 2 p.m. , at Rockvale High School.

Also, today in Class 1A baseball, Trenton Peabody plays Eagleville. Trenton is playing in the loser's bracket after being defeated by Eagleville by 11-6 on Wednesday.  In the second game on Wednesday, Peabody then defeated Coalfield  5-2 to remain alive in the tournament for a repeat game against Eaglevillle, the defending champion.

 

Hollow Rock-Bruceton Lady Tigers softball plays Eagleville today at 12:30 p.m. at the Starplex #3.  On Wednesday, the Lady Tigers defeated Dresden 7-1 to eliminate the Dresden Lady Lions from the contest.
