Driving on Revoked License — Porter Cunningham, Jr., 58, Thompson Avenue, McKenzie was charged with Driving on a Revoked License for DUI 4th Offense on January 1.

Officer Sean Beck observed Cunningham driving and had knowledge that his license was revoked. A check of the car’s license plates revealed expired tags. Cunningham had borrowed the vehicle. The owner of the car was called to the scene to sign seizure documents since the owner was aware Cunningham was not to drive.

Driving While Revoked, Drug Violations — Three subjects were charged following a traffic stop on January 6.

Officer Sean Beck stopped a black Nissa on State Route 22 after the vehicle swerved several times. Officer Beck was aware of some of the occupants’ history. When a bong and methamphetamines were found in the vehicle, none of the occupants claimed ownership, so all three were arrested and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Manufacturing Methamphetamine.

Jacob A. Hinson, 24, Spruce Street, McKenzie, was driving and charged with Driving on a Suspended License plus the above listed drug charges.

Steven D. Edwards, 38, Broad Street, Dresden, was charged with the drug offenses.

Dustin Wright, 24, College Street, Jackson was charged with the drug offenses.

The vehicle was seized by MPD.

Driving on Suspended License — Ricky King, 64, Walnut Circle, McKenzie, was charged with Driving on a Suspended License on January 6.

Officer Sean Beck stopped the vehicle King was driving. A check of King’s license verified the suspended status. King also did not have proof of insurance for the vehicle.

King was cited into Carroll County General Sessions Court.

Driving on Suspended License — Nathan Russell Boone, 40, Connell Drive, South Fulton, was charged with Driving on a Suspended License and Display of Registration Plates.

Sergeant Cody Coleman stopped Boone’s vehicle for a violation of display of license plate. The officer determined Boone’s license was suspended during the stop. Boone was advised to report to Carroll County Jail for booking procedures.

Speeding, Driving on Suspended License — Ruby Garza, 22, Randle Street, McKenzie was charged with Speeding and Driving on a Suspended License on January 4.

Officer Matthew Cunningham made the traffic stop for speeding and learned of the suspended license status. Garza was advised to report to Carroll County Jail for booking within 10 days.
