McKenzie Police Reports

Failure to Appear — Benjamin C. Thomas, 49, Walnut Circle, McKenzie was arrested for Failure to Appear on March 23.

Officer Sean Beck was on patrol in Walnut Circle when Thomas got the officer’s attention by ‘hollering’ at him. Officer Beck had the dispatcher perform a computer search on the National Crime Information Computer network and learned an outstanding warrant was issued against Thomas, who was arrested and transported to Weakley County Jail.

Dogs at Large — Carla Kay Wagner, 36, Park Circle, McKenzie, was cited for having a dog at large on March 23.

Officer Jason Artymovich responded to Park Circle concerning an aggressive dog being loose with a report of it biting a young girl. Wagner told the officer the dog broke loose from its leash and a prior owner possibly abused it. After interviewing the young girl, she stated the dog only lunged at her but did not bite her.
