McKenzie Memorial Day Event
The City of McKenzie hosts its annual Memorial Day event at Veterans Park in downtown McKenzie on Monday, May 31 at 10 a.m.

The featured speaker is Sergeant Major Spiros Roditis of the U.S. Army.

Colton Baker, Mayor Jill Holland, and Randy McCadams will lead the ceremony and concluded by the laying of the wreath by Dana Deem and Billy Kirkindoll at the War Memorial.

Huntingdon Memorial Day Ceremony

The City of Huntingdon hosts its 18th Annual Memorial Day Ceremony at Thomas Park on East Main Street in Huntingdon at 10 a.m., Monday, May 31. Special seating is reserved for veterans and there will be a red carnation for each veteran who registers at the registration table prior to the ceremony. Registration begins at 9:15 a.m. Huntingdon native Major General Tommy H. Baker, the commissioner of Tennessee Department of Veteran Services and deputy adjutant general for Tennessee National Guard, is the featured speaker. Attendees are urged to bring lawn chairs. In the event of rain, the ceremony will take place in the Huntingdon Middle School Gymnasium, located at 199 Browning Ave., Huntingdon.

American Legion Annual Memorial Day Flags
All veterans and community members are urged to assist in the annual placing of small flags at the graves of veterans in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, McKenzie. The American Legion Post 37 supplies the flags. The event begins at Mt. Olivet Cemetery at 7 a.m. on Sunday, May 30.

Liberty All UMC Memorial Day Program
The Liberty All United Methodist Church hosts its annual Memorial Day Program Sunday, May 30 at 10:30 a.m. Pastor and U.S. Air Force Veteran Phil Williams will speak at the program. All veterans present will be recognized and all 74 names of the veterans buried at Liberty All will be read and have a flag placed on each grave. The Liberty All United Methodist Church is located at 2415 Old Stage Road, Huntingdon, Tenn.
