On Wednesday, February 22, McKenzie Middle School held an African-American History Program. Sixteen students presented information about African American’s contributions to the past and present. The focus of the event was the accomplishments of: Sojourner Truth, Rosa Parks, Dr. King, Maya Angelou, Madame C.J. Walker, Robert F. Smith, Bobby Marshall, Fritz Pollard, Bobby Marshall, Patrick Mahomes, Jalen Hurts, and the recognition of the 50th Anniversary of Rap.
