HUNTINGDON — Get ready to tap your toes and enjoy the sweet sounds of bluegrass music at not one, but two Pickin’ Parties set to take over Huntingdon’s Court Square this summer! Mark your calendars for 6-8 p.m. on June 22 and July 20, 2024, as these evenings promise to be filled with lively tunes, good company, and unforgettable memories.

The Pickin’ Parties, beloved events in the heart of Huntingdon, are back to celebrate the region’s rich musical heritage, headlined by local favorite Scattered Grass. Hosted in the picturesque Court Square, these gatherings bring together talented musicians and eager audiences for an evening of jamming, dancing, and community spirit.

Attendees can expect a live band on the Court House steps facing The Dixie, local shops & restaurants open especially late, and food trucks to satisfy every taste bud, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you’re a seasoned picker or simply a lover of good music, these events provide the perfect opportunity to kick back, relax, and soak in the summer days of small-town Tennessee.

“These gatherings celebrate our town’s rich musical traditions and a testament to the sense of community that defines us. We invite everyone to join us for two unforgettable evenings of music and laughter, “ says Angela DeMaris, The Dixie’s Executive Director.

In addition to the musical performances, attendees can look forward to delicious food and beverage options from local vendors, which will be set up on the streets of downtown Huntingdon, and a rare opportunity to shop the night away at our downtown businesses that plan to stay open late to enjoy the full moon!

The Pickin’ Parties on Huntingdon’s Court Square are free and open to the public, making them the perfect family-friendly outing or a fun-filled night out with friends. So grab your lawn chairs, bring your dancing shoes, and come join us for two unforgettable evenings under the Tennessee stars!

These performances are provided thanks to Carroll Bank & Trust (June 22) and FirstBank (July 20) support. For more information, including a schedule of performers, follow The Dixie Carter PAC on Facebook at Facebook.com/DixiePAC.
