McKENZIE (March 18) — Prompalooza was Saturday, March 18. 1 to 5 p.m. to offer girls’ and boys’ prom attire for free to high school students throughout Carroll County.

Cachengo’s Agape Closet, located at 161 Hospital Drive in the former hospital, provided free prom dresses, shoes, men’s jackets and accessories for high school-aged students.

Cheyenne Moore, director of the Agape Closet, said clothing for proms is so expensive and the people of the Agape Closet chose to host Prompalooza to help local residents. There were 50 dresses, hats, men’s suits, shoes and other items to complete the ensemble for the one-day event.

Miss Tipton County, Gracelyn Eaves, was also in attendance to help with the selection. Eaves, a former Miss Bethel University, is a student at Bethel and will be a contestant in the Miss Tennessee Volunteer Pageant in July.
