Unless you are not a local sports fan or have been living under a rock somewhere, the City of McKenzie has two undefeated football teams. McKenzie High School and Bethel University both finished their regular seasons undefeated for the first time ever. McKenzie went 10-0 for their third undefeated regular season (2001, 2021, 2022) and Bethel University football went 11-0 for their second undefeated regular season (2018, 2022) and their first and only 11-0 season (2018 was 10-0).

Both teams will be in action at home with McKenzie (12-0) hosting Fayetteville in the third round of the TSSAA playoffs Friday, November 18 at 7 p.m. Bethel hosts Keiser at Wildcat Stadium Saturday, November 19 at 1 p.m. Quoting a good friend, “There has never been a better time to be a football fan in McKenzie, Tenn.”
