Rebels Win Region Championship

McKENZIE (May 15) McKenzie Rebels baseball team advances to substate action after claiming the Region 6-1A championship over a very talented Hollow Rock-Bruceton team on Monday.
The Rebels took the 10-2 victory in 6.5 innings at McKenzie City Park.

Hollow Rock-Bruceton scored two runs in the top of the first inning for a total of two points for the game.

McKenzie scored three in the first, three in the fourth, one in the fifth, and three in the sixth for a total of 10.
James Noe and Landon Boyd pitched for Bruceton.
Seniors Jackson Cassidy and Ty Anderson pitched for McKenzie.
Jackson Cassidy scored three runs, Hayden Hixson scored 1, Ty Anderson 1, Tate Surber 2, Nolan Renfro 1, Lane Anderson 1, and Haden Garrett 1.

The Rebels next play in the sectionals at McKenzie Park on Thursday, May 18, 5 p.m. The Rebels will play a double header in a two of three series against Richland. If necessary, the third game is Friday at 5 p.m.
