McKENZIE (January 17) — Kylie Reynolds will continue her collegiate athletic career at Bethel University. The senior Lady Rebel signed Tuesday, January 17 to play basketball for the Bethel Lady Wildcats.
Bethel Lady Wildcat Coach Chris Nelson is very happy to have Kylie join the Lady Wildcat program in 2023-24.
His wife coached her at McKenzie Middle School in basketball and John Wilkins coached her in high school. And as a local product, Nelson has witnessed her growth and development as a player and a young lady.
“She knows how to win and has been well coached,” said Nelson, who has served as coach of the Lady Wildcats for 17 years.
McKenzie High School Principal Kelly Spivey said Kylie is a fantastic athlete, a great person, and took care of business as an athlete and a student.
“I know her friends and family are glad she is staying at home,” concluded Spivey.
The signing occurred in the MHS Theatre as friends, teammates and fellow seniors looked on and took the opportunity to have photographs made with the soon-to-be Lady Wildcat.
Kylie and her sister, Mikaela are both starters for the Lady Rebels and helped the team earn the Class 1A basketball championship in Murfreesboro in March 2022.
Kylie is the daughter of Stephanie McClerkin and the late Roscoe McClerkin.
