Carroll County Sheriff’s Department Reports

Posted

Open Investigation — On October 28th, John Cole, 85, of Huntingdon, reported someone had broken into his home. He advised officers that the person had used a golf club to break into the window in his kitchen. The only thing missing was his money, total of $19,800 and $10 in gold quarters. All the money was in the same drawer, and nothing else was taken from Mr. Cole’s home, which was strange to him. This made Mr. Cole feel like the person knew exactly what they were looking for and where to look. Mr. Cole advised officers that the only person aware of his money was his girlfriend, Patricia Wright. He also informed the officers that she had been with him the entire day, during the time of the break in. The case was turned over to Investigators, Mr. Cole stated the money was in two different envelopes in the same drawer. This incident is under investigation.
