Suspended License — On Feb. 10 at approximately 9:35 p.m., Deputy Jeremy Smith observed a vehicle with a inoperable brake light.

A traffic stop was made and the driver, Tamera Laske, 30, of Huntingdon, was found to have no driver’s license as they had been suspended. She had failed to pay fines and court costs from March 9, 2022.

She is to book in at the Carroll County Jail no later than Feb. 21.

Assault — On Feb. 11 Colton Blake Kyle, 18, called from 135 Green Valley Rd., Huntingdon, and said that Trystan Johnson 27, of Hollow Rock had assaulted him and had fired three shots before leaving the scene.

According to Kyle, Johnson came to the residence to pick up a cell phone. Johnson and Kyle made contact through text messages and agreed for Johnson to come to 125 Green Valley Road. When Johnson arrived, he went to the front door and asked for Kyle. When Kyle exited the residence from the side door, he came in contact with Johnson who struck Kyle in the right eye that caused a small laceration.

According to Kyle, Johnson grabbed his clothing and began a physical altercation with Johnson after which Johnson pulled out a pistol and loaded a bullet into the chamber.

Johnson then shot three separate shots from the pistol in the direction of Kyle and a female. Both victims stated they were in fear for their lives.

Deputy Grant Davis visited Johnson’s residence at 28170 Broad St. in Hollow Rock where he was found. Two Bruceton officers assisted in locating Johnson.

Johnson admitted to shooting the three rounds and having an altercation with Kyle and then dropping off the pistol at his father’s house on the Buena Vista Road.

The father had taken the gun to 3355 Green Allen Springs Rd. and had wrapped it inside a black plastic bag and put it in a camper on that property.

Johnson was taken to the Carroll County Jail and charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a bond of $100,000 on each charge.

Marijuana — On Feb. 11 Sgt. Kenny Tucker was on the scene at 125 Green Valley Rd. investigating a shooting and was looking at the vehicle on the property for evidence of bullet holes and shell casings when he noticed two bags of a green leafy substance. The back window of the vehicle was also out and an odor of marijuana was coming from inside the vehicle.

Inside the vehicle on the passenger’s seat there were two bags that contained a green leafy substance. The back window of the vehicle was also out and the odor of marijuana was coming from inside the vehicle.

The owner of the truck was not charged at this time.
