Theft of Property — Bobby Spain, of Trezevant, stated that someone came on his property without his permission, and removed his 1970 18 horsepower Evinrude outboard motor from his 12-foot Jon boat. Bobby stated that he had painted the motor cover from blue to tan and the lower part olive color with black prop. Bobby stated that he last saw the motor on May 8.
Simple Assault — Fadia Chamoun, 47, of Huntingdon, was arrested on May 14 for Assault on a First Responder. Deputy Sevarns arrived at Fadia’s address on Hill Court Circle to serve a Writ of Possession on the defendant. The defendant opened the door and said she was not leaving the residence and slammed the door. Sevarns walked into the residence to explain she is being evicted and not to slam the door in his face. The defendant walked into the master bedroom and stated she was going to kill Sevarns. Sevarns asked the defendant if she stated she was going to kill him and she said yes, she would if he entered her bedroom. Sevarns then placed the defendant under arrest and while doing so Fadia kicked Sevarns in his left knee. The defendant kicked again.
Domestic Assault — Kelcey Bullington, 31, of Cedar Grove, was arrested for assault on a family member. On May 12, Carroll County deputies were dispatched to a home on Highway 104 for a possible domestic disturbance. Kelcey stated the family member came in her room and started an argument. Kelcey did advise that she had physically shove the family member but there was nothing further. The victim stated Kelcey shoved her to the ground and struck her with open hands. The victim decided to press charges.
Drug/Narcotic Violation — April Shell, 43, of McKenzie, was arrested on May 9 for having a glass pipe with white residue commonly used for smoking meth beside her in the back passenger seat during a traffic stop. The driver gave consent to search the vehicle after being pulled over for expired registration.
Weapon Law Violation — Stacy Allen Simmons, 46, of Huntingdon, was arrested on May 10 for having a gun while being a felon. Deputy Townes initiated a traffic stop on a black Nissan Altima because he knew the owner of the vehicle, Jacob Saulters, had an active warrant out of the county for violation of parole. Once the vehicle came to a stop, the deputy contacted Saulters when the passenger opened his door to get out of the vehicle but did comply and closed the door. Deputy Townes asked if he could search the vehicle and Saulters agreed. Upon search in and around the vehicle, McKenzie Police Officer Dillon did locate underneath the passenger side of the vehicle, a revolver, in a black pistol holster. Both men denied the gun being theirs. There was a ride along in Deputy Townes vehicle who did see Simmons toss a black object under the vehicle right when the Deputy asked him to get back in the car. Simmons was then charged with tampering with evidence, unlawful possession of a weapon, and theft of property. Saulters was arrested for his warrant.
Bullet Shot at Home-Accidental — On May 11, Mike Jorzyk on Westport Road called the sheriff’s office and reported that someone shot his house. Susan, Mr. Jorzyk’s wife, stated that no one was home when the shot hit the house. When they returned home, they noticed that someone shot through their kitchen window and then into their fridge where the bullet was recovered. The bullet came from the direction of a neighbor’s home. Bruce Brown, 50, stated that he was doing target practice, and it was in the same direction where the bullet came from. After deputies told him what had happened, he was very apologetic and offered to pay for the window and fridge. He was issued a citation for reckless endangerment.
