Murfreesboro — The TSSAA Board of Control recently met approving reclassification proposals for the next two years (2023-25). Changes were made in most football regions including the local area.
Class 1A Region 6 (2023-25)
Bruceton – Hollow Rock
Houston County
McEwen
McKenzie
Perry County
West Carroll
Dresden, Gleason, and South Fulton were moved to Region 7 while Houston County and West Carroll were moved into Region 6. There is one less team in Region 6 meaning the Rebels and other region teams will have five region games and five non-region games.
The Huntingdon Mustangs are now in a bigger Region 6AA with familiar opponents.

Trenton Peabody
Riverside
This gives the Mustangs seven region contests and three non-region games for the next two seasons.
A lot of changes took place in basketball and baseball. McKenzie moves from District 11 to District 12.
District 12-1A (2023-2025)

Hollow Rock – Bruceton
Houston County
McEwen
McKenzie
West Carroll is now in District 12 with Clarksburg, Frank Hughes, Hollow Rock-Bruceton, and Perry County and will move to District 13 next year.

Huntingdon’s current district is District 12AA in Region 6AA and includes Gibson County, Milan, Union City, and Westview. The new District 12AA lineup is show below.

Along with reclassification changes, the TSSAA is responsible for region football scheduling for the next two years (2023-25) and released the region schedules on Monday afternoon, November 21. This became necessary due to a major shortage of officials to work games.
