HUTNINGDON, Tenn. - Mrs. Virginia Smith, 91, of Huntingdon, Tennessee died Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at Baptist Hospital.

Funeral services are Friday, June 14, 2024, at 1  p.m. in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Mickey Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Palmer Shelter Cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Pallbearers who will serve are Scotty Bennett, Clint Bennett, Burton Bennett, Seth Bennett, Ronnie Bennett, and Dennis Coleman.

Mrs. Smith was born May 15, 1933, in Huntingdon to the late Herbert and Hattie Davis Bennett. She was a cook at Harmony Hills and a Palmer Shelter United Methodist Church member. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Troy Edward Smith, a daughter, Laurie Horton, and four brothers, Paul Bennett, Yates Bennett, Wayne Bennett, and Douglas Bennett.

She is survived by two sons, Troy Edward Smith, Jr. (Mary) of Warner Robins, Georgia, and Patrick Smith (Anita) of Huntingdon, three grandchildren, Philip Issler (Lisa) of Apex, North Carolina, Bart Horton (Neka), of Jackson, and Amy Horton Bunton (Michael) of Nashville. She also leaves eight great-grandchildren.
