HUNTINGDON (September 13) — On Friday night, the Huntingdon Mustangs picked up their second win of the season as they played host to the Columbia Academy Bulldogs. It was a game of pending rain showers with the perpetual lightning of yellow flags. The first quarter was a tight back-and-forth but like a diesel engine, the Mustang offense and defense heated up to roar away with the 42-20 win. more
ADAMSVILLE (September 6) — After two weeks of preparation, the Huntingdon Mustangs were on the road opening up Region 6-2A football against the Adamsville Cardinals. The Mustangs easily handled the Cardinals taking home the 43-12 win. more
HUNTINGDON (August 29) — Huntingdon Middle School hosted McKenzie softball Thursday. The Fillies played well on both sides of the ball, including a shutout by pitcher Marcie Mitchell, for a 9-0 victory. more
HUNTINGDON (August 23) - Sometimes, you can believe the hype. A breathtakingly massive audience gathered at Paul Ward Stadium Friday to see the highly-anticipated season opener between the Mustangs and the visiting McKenzie Rebels, and the teams put on a show worthy of the storied rivalry. Huntingdon seemed to be in control with two early touchdowns, but McKenzie tied the game at 14-14 before halftime. After trading TDs in the third quarter, the Rebels took their first lead, 24-21, with a field goal to start a wild fourth quarter. Four more touchdowns meant four lead changes, and the Rebels took a final lead with just 22 seconds on the clock for a 38-35 victory. more

McKENZIE (August 3) - McKenzie Middle School hosted its annual preseason football jamboree Saturday at Randy Thomas Field with 18 teams participating in ten total contests. more
HUNTINGDON (July 23) — The meeting room at Huntingdon City Hall was packed Tuesday as the Town Council honored Huntingdon High School athletes for their impressive performances at the state level. more
HUNTINGDON (July 6) — The town of blue and gold was a town of orange and white as Huntingdon and many surrounding towns celebrated Hunter Ensley and the national college baseball champions, UT Vols. more
The Tennessee Softball Coaches Association (TSCA) named Huntingdon’s Natalie Kreuziger and Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central’s Addison Hampton as Miss Softball for their prospective class. more
MURFREESBORO (May 24) — After four days of intense action that included weather delays and a round-robin of venues, the Huntingdon Mustangs and Fillies claimed state runner-up titles in baseball and softball for Class 2A. In a double-elimination format, both teams made it to Friday’s round unscathed. more
The TSSAA Spring Fling was more than baseball and softball. Two Huntingdon students competed at the state level in track and field during the week. more
Six local high school baseball and softball teams are headed to Murfreesboro this week to participate in the TSSAA State Championship Series. McKenzie Rebels Baseball, Huntingdon Mustangs Baseball, Huntingdon Fillies Softball, Hollow Rock-Bruceton Lady Tigers Softball, Westview Lady Chargers Softball and Henry County Lady Patriots Softball will take the field Tuesday afternoon in the double elimination tournament. more
HUNTINGDON (May 17) — On Friday, the Huntingdon Fillies defeated the Summertown Lady Eagles 2-0 in the sectional series. The Fillies advance to TSSAA State Softball Championship Series. more
HUNTINGDON (May 16) — The Huntingdon Mustangs knocked out the Summertown Eagles two straight games in the best of three series in the sectional round to advance to the TSSAA State Baseball Championship Series. The Mustangs took game one, 1-0, and game two, 5-2. more

McKENZIE (April 28) — Huntingdon Middle School Baseball was the winner of the Tri-County Middle School Baseball Tournament on Sunday in McKenzie. more
MURFREESBORO (March 7) — After five months of competitive basketball, the Huntingdon Fillies season came to an end in the quarterfinal round of the TSSAA State Championship for Class 2A. The Huntingdon Fillies (23-5) played their hearts out losing 58-49 against a tough Gibson County Lady Pioneers (30-1) team. more
Over the weekend, Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro was the site of some amazing high school girls’ basketball action. Nine of the 32 teams competing for gold were from West Tennessee. more
The Huntingdon Fillies punched their ticket to Murfreesboro to play in the State Tournament Class AA quarterfinals with two late-game victorious rallies. Wednesday night the Fillies defeated Cheatham County 67-60 for the Region 6-2AA title. After trailing the Lady Cubs for most of the game, Huntingdon pushed forward in the final minutes to win the region title. more
CAMDEN (February 27) — On Tuesday, the Huntingdon Mustangs lost to East Hickman in the region semifinals after leading 57-54 with 11 seconds remaining in regulation time. more
