HUNTINGDON (September 24) - Huntingdon High School hosted Westview Tuesday for a consequential district soccer match. Each 2-0 in District 12A, the winner would claim the top seed in the upcoming tournament. The Fillies struck first at the very end of the first half, but the Lady Chargers scored three times in the second half to claim the 3-1 victory and the 3-0 district record. more
McKENZIE (September 23) - McKenzie Middle School hosted Milan Monday for a soccer match as the season winds down. The Lady Rebels were in control throughout the game, earning a 3-1 win. more

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (September 15) — Three world-class athletes from McKenzie will compete in Wollongong, Australia next year after qualifying in Atlantic City in the USA Triathlon National Championship. more
McKENZIE (September 21) — A Milan man is recovering from his injuries after the tractor-trailer he was driving veered off the five-lane highway, across opposing traffic lanes and came to rest on the roadside embankment just south of McKenzie near Enon Baptist Church. The truck indicated it was operated by Hanks Farms. more
McKENZIE — Lakeside Senior Living Community in McKenzie is where the September 11 Inglenook Book Club meeting was held with 20 members in attendance. President Gail Mack called the meeting to order, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance, Club Aim and Motto, and recited by all.  more

McKENZIE (September 19) — West Tennessee Public Utilities, the local natural gas distributor, hosted its fifth annual community informational session on Thursday, September 19. The annual event provides information on the work and progress of the local utility district and also to alert government leaders and first responders about how to safely work with natural gas. more
