Marching Band Competition is Saturday in Huntingdon

HUNTINGDON — Twenty-three high school marching bands are scheduled to compete in the Huntingdon Marching Invitational at Paul Ward Stadium, Saturday, October 1. Local bands, McKenzie, West Carroll, and Hollow Rock-Bruceton are among the competitors. The Bethel University Renaissance Regiment will perform in exhibition.
 
Preliminary competition begins at 9 a.m. with Camden, followed by Halls at 9:12 a.m., Haywood at 9:34 a.m., Bruceton at 9:36 a.m., McKenzie at 9:48 a.m.; Scotts Hill at 10:10 a.m.; Lexington at 10:22 a.m.; Dyer at 10:34 a.m.; Jackson Christian at 10:46 a.m., West Carroll at 10:58 a.m.; Obion County at 11:24 a.m., Crockett County at 11:36 a.m., McNairy Central at 11:48 a.m., Chester County at 12 p.m., Westview at 12:12 p.m., Station Camp at 12:24 p.m., Adamsville at 1:12 p.m., Union City at 1:24 p.m., Gibson County at 1:36 p.m., Clarksville at 1:48 p.m., Peabody at 2 p.m., Munford at 2:12 p.m., Tupelo at 2:24 p.m. Bethel University performs at 2:36 p.m. 
 
Preliminary awards announcements are at 3 p.m. A dinner break is 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. followed by the final competition.
