Governor Bill Lee Bus Tour makes a stop in Huntingdon on Saturday, November 5, from 10-11 a.m. at the Carroll County Courthouse, 99 Court Square, Huntingdon.
 
Gleason Rotary Club BBQ Fundraiser November 5
The Gleason Rotary Club is hosting their annual BBQ Fundraiser, Saturday, November 5, at the Gleason Senior Citizens Building, 120 North Cedar Street, Gleason. The plates will have a BBQ sandwich, baked beans, coleslaw and potato salad. You can purchase a plate for $10, one pound of BBQ for $8 or a sandwich for $4. Pickup begins at 10:30 a.m. and funds will be used to repair and maintain the Gleason Senior Citizens Building.
 
McKenzie High School Honors Veterans November 11
McKenzie High School celebrates Veterans Day at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 11. Veterans are invited to arrive at 9:30 a.m. and come through the gym entrance in the back of high school, 23292 TN-22, McKenzie.  Veterans are encouraged to stay after the program and enjoy lunch with students, faculty and staff.
 
County Library November Events
The Carroll County Library, 625 High Street, Suite 102, Huntingdon, announced events for November. TOT Times are scheduled Tuesdays, November 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 at 10:30 a.m. Kids’ Coding Club is Monday, November 7 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Homeschool Hangouts are scheduled Thursday, November 10, and Monday, November 21, 10 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Lego Club is Thursday, November 10, 3:30 p.m. Creative Corner Adult Crafting Hour is Saturday, November 12, 10 a.m. Special programming provided by the Farm Bureau to celebrate Ag Literacy Week November 13-19 include a wooden cow to milk, making butter, a junk food versus ‘superfood’ bingo, an educational crop program and a farmer themed TOT time. Anime Club is Thursday, November 17, 4-5:30 p.m. Coffee with Character Book Club on Saturday, November 19 at 10 a.m. Tinker Tuesday STEM/STEAM activities is November 22 at 3:30 p.m. Monday Makers Youth Crafts is November 28 at 3:30 p.m. The library will be closed on Veterans Day, November 11, and Thanksgiving, November 24-26. Henry Baptist Church is hosting the Bethel Renaissance Bluegrass Group on Sunday, November 13, at Henry Baptist Church, 20 College Street, Henry. A love offering will be accepted during the event.
 
First Cp Church Bazaar, Turkey, Dressing Sale
The First Cumberland Presbyterian Church is hosting its Annual Bazaar and Turkey and Dressing sale on Saturday, November, 19, 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Turkey and dressing casseroles are $20 for a 9x13 pan and must be ordered by Monday, November 14, by calling the church office 731-352-2440. Casseroles will be ready to cook or freeze. Pick up time is 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. in the kitchen located at the back of the church on Saturday, November 19. The bazaar will feature many hand-crafted holiday items for sale, baked goods and a raffle. Parking is available in the back of the church.
 
West Carroll School Board To Meet
The West Carroll Special School District (WCSSD) board meeting is Thursday, November 3, at 6 p.m., in the West Carroll Junior/Senior High School cafeteria. The agenda will include discussion and approval of WCSSD Director of Schools, Preston Caldwell, and the contract renewal request. Other topics include Beta Club field trips, WCSSD Crises and Emergency Preparedness Plan, policy updates and director of school updates. 
 
McKenzie VFW Annual Breakfast Fundraiser
The McKenzie Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and Auxiliary Post 4939 is hosting its Annual Breakfast Fundraiser on Saturday, November 19, 2022, 9750 Cherrywood Road, McKenzie. Breakfast begins at 5 a.m. and the cost per adult is $10 and children $6 with proceeds to benefit needy children at Christmas. For more information, contact the VFW at 731-207-1027.
 
Shepherd’s Table Community Kitchen
On the third Tuesdays of each month, The Shepherd’s Table community kitchen serves meals at First Presbyterian Church located at 19835 E. Main Street, Huntingdon. Meals are served restaurant style with drive-through available after 6 p.m. It is open to the public and there is no cost. Donations are accepted. All are invited.
It is our mission to create a community atmosphere where individuals can come in and have a meal and a comfortable setting. We encourage friendly conversation, prayers and laughter. Carroll County Commission Meets Monthly
Carroll County Commission meets the second Monday of each month, 7 p.m., in the Conference Room of the Carroll County Office Complex, High Street, Huntingdon. There are no meetings in December, February, and July.
 
Adult Education Classes
Huntingdon Location - Adult Education Building, 14155 Paris Street. Office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Classes are offered for one-on-one instruction on Mondays, 1-4 p.m. and Thursdays, 9 a.m. to noon. For more information, phone 731-364-5481.
 
Council Meets Monthly
The McKenzie City Council meets at 6 p.m. the second Thursday of each month. 
 
Prayer on the Square
The Prayer on the Square is held the second Saturday each month, 9 a.m. at The Network on the Court Square in Huntingdon. All denominations are welcome.
