McKenzie Senior Center Comfort Food Cook-Off March 18
The McKenzie Senior Center is hosting a Comfort Food Cook-off on Saturday, March 18, at 4 p.m., 172 Main Street South, McKenzie. Everyone is invited to taste our soups, stews, chowder and homemade bread and vote for their favorite. A winner will be chosen from each category. West Carroll Band Benefit Dinner, Songwriter Showcase April 1
The West Carroll Band Benefit Dinner and Songwriter Showcase is Saturday, April 1, 5 -9 p,m, at the Carroll County Civic Center, 201 Mustang Drive, Huntingdon. The Songwriter Showcase features Nashville songwriters Brice Long, Wynn Varble and Casey Beathard. Doors open at 5 p.m., Silent Auction, 5-7:30 p.m., Dinner and entertainment from West Carroll Band members and a local band; Songwriter Showcase, 6:30-8 p.m. Handicapped access available. Shepherd’s Table Community Kitchen
The Shepherd’s Table community kitchen serves meals the third Tuesday of each month at First Presbyterian Church located at 19835 East Main Street, Huntingdon. Meals are served restaurant style with drive-through available after 6 p.m. It is open to the public and there is no cost. Donations are accepted. All are invited. It is our mission to create a community atmosphere where individuals can come in and have a meal in a comfortable setting. We encourage friendly conversation, prayers and laughter. Carroll County Commission Meets Monthly
Carroll County Commission meets the second Monday of each month, 7 p.m., in the Conference Room of the Carroll County Office Complex, High Street, Huntingdon. There are no meetings in December, February, and July.
