The McKenzie City Council meets at 6 p.m. the second Thursday of each month.
McKenzie Planning Commission meets fourth Wednesday, 3:30 p.m.
City Court convenes each Monday, 4 p.m.
Historic Zoning Committee meets second Wednesday, 4 p.m.
Parks and Recreation Committee meets second Wednesday, 5:30 p.m., February, May, August and November.
Driving School is each Tuesday, 5 p.m.

Webb School National Register of Historic Places Celebration
The Webb Alumni Association is planning a celebration and ribbon cutting on July 20 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the school, located at 938 Walnut Street West, in McKenzie to commemorate the addition of Webb Public School to the National Register of Historic Places. You are cordially invited to attend.

McKenzie Industrial Board to Meet
McKenzie Industrial Board of Directors meet Thursday, June 27, 6 p.m. in the RailYard Co-Working Space on Broadway Street, McKenzie. The board plans to participate in training with TVA during the meeting.

Retirement Reception for Willie Huffman
Willie Huffman, president of Tennessee College of Applied Technology-McKenzie and Paris, is retiring after 36 years at the local school. A reception is Thursday, June 20, 2-4 p.m. at TCAT, 16940 Highland Drive, McKenzie. The public is invited to attend.

Carroll Republican Party Meets
Carroll County Republican Party meets monthly each fourth Tuesday, 7 p.m. in the Public Safety Building in Huntingdon.

Salute Our Vets 5K
The American Legion Post 47 and American Legion Auxiliary Unit 47 of Huntingdon are co-hosting the Second Annual Salute Our Vets 5K on Saturday, June 22 at 7 a.m. at the east side of the Carroll County Courthouse in Huntingdon. Registration is at 6:30 a.m. The registration fee is $25. All of the proceeds from this event will go to benefit local veterans, their families and community! So get on your running/walking shoes and get your registration forms sent in! All who register by June 9 are guaranteed a t-shirt! 911 Board to Meet June 18
Carroll County Emergency Communications District Board of Director (911 Board) meets Tuesday, June 18, 5:30 p.m. in the Training Room of the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department, 200 Norandal Drive, Huntingdon. This is a public meeting.

T.A.R.P. ADA Celebration July 31

Trezevant Board to Meet June 25

The Town of Trezevant Board is meeting on June 25, 6:30 p.m., in a special called meeting to vote on the second reading of the 2024-25 budget of Trezevant Community Center.

Carroll Humane Society Events
Dog Vouchers
We are currently selling spay/neuter vouchers for dogs. The cost is $50 and surgeries will be done at the Huntingdon Animal Clinic. Must be 6 months or older at time of the appointment. No residency or income requirements. Vouchers must be purchased in person at the shelter during business hours Tuesday-Saturday 8 a.m.-12 p.m. We are running low on spay vouchers so hurry if you want one. We have several more neuter vouchers. Cash or card only.
Cat Vouchers
We always have spay/neuter vouchers for cats at a cost of $50 and to be used at Paris Vet Clinic. If you need to pay with cash, come by the shelter to purchase. Otherwise, we have a NEW NUMBER to purchase using a credit/debit card. Please leave a message and the volunteer will return your call very soon, 731-514-0878.

McKenzie Memorial Library’s Hours
The McKenzie Memorial Library, Broadway Street, is open, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays throughout the summer for the Summer Reading Program. Additionally, the library has programs on most Saturdays beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Ribbon Cutting at Carroll County Health Department
A ribbon-cutting event is 3 p.m., Monday, June 24, at the Carroll County Health Department to unveil plans for renovations of the Carroll County Health Department, located adjacent to the Carroll County Office Complex, 633 High Street, Huntingdon.

McKenzie TOPS to Meet
The McKenzie TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Chapter meets on Mondays at 3 p.m. at the McKenzie Church of Christ gym. Anyone interested in losing weight can join. For more information, contact Linda Lawrence at 731-352-7309. If no answer, leave a message.

King’s Collision Specialist Ribbon Cutting
King’s Collision Specialist, 223 Main Street South, McKenzie, is hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, June 21, at 4 p.m. Joseph King is the owner.

Carroll Commission Meets Monthly
Carroll County Commission meets the second Monday of each month, 7 p.m., in the Conference Room of the Carroll County Office Complex, High Street, Huntingdon. There are no meetings in February and July.

Carroll Democratic Party Meets
The Carroll County Democratic Party meets the third Thursday of every month at 6 p.m. at 12740 Lexington Street, Huntingdon.

Adult Education Classes
Huntingdon Location — Adult Education Building, 14155 Paris Street. Office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Classes are offered for one-on-one instruction on Mondays, 1-4 p.m. and Thursdays, 9 a.m. to NOON. For more information, phone 731-364-5481.
