Cancer Survivors Dinner June 30
To celebrate Cancer Survivor Month, all cancer survivors in Carroll County are invited to attend a dinner at the Carroll County Civic Center, Huntingdon, June 30 at 6 p.m. Each cancer survivor will be recognized. Local Emergency Planning Committee Meeting
The Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) meets Wednesday, June 21 at 10 a.m. at the Carroll County Emergency Operations Center, 210 Norandal Drive, Huntingdon.

Shooting Hunger Event June 23
The 2022 Shooting Hunger events provided more than 300,000 backpack meals for hungry children. The 2023 shooting event is June 23 at the Carroll County Shooting Sports Park. For more information, visit www.shootinghunger.com.

American Legion 5k, 1 Mile Fun Run
Join the American Legion Post 47 on their “Salute the Vets” 5K and 1 mile fun run Saturday, June 24 beginning at 7 a.m. at each side of the Carroll County Court House. Registration begins at 6:30 a.m. There is a $25 entry fee.

Caring Hearts Food Pantry
The Caring Hearts Food Pantry offers food distribution the second Saturday of each month, 9-11 a.m., at Mt Zion United Methodist Church, 120 Mt. Zion Road, Huntingdon.

Terry Fire Dept BBQ Fundraiser June 24
Bring chairs and enjoy great food, fellowship and live music at the Terry Fire Department’s BBQ fundraiser Saturday, June 24 from 5-9 p.m. BBQ chicken plates (whole or half) include potato salad, baked beans or Cole slaw, a roll, and a drink. There will also be BBQ bologna, racks of ribs and more.

Johnson Temple CME Church Women’s Night June 25
The ladies of the Johnson Temple Christian Methodist Episcopal Church host their annual Women’s Day Service June 25 at 2:30 p.m. They ask all ladies to wear white. Ms. Charissa Walden, a McKenzie High School graduate, is the service’s speaker.

Greenfield FBC VBS Is June 25-28
Greenfield First Baptist Church has Vacation Bible School Sunday, June 25 through Wednesday, June 28 from 6-8 p.m. each night. Shepherd’s Table Community Kitchen
The Shepherd’s Table community kitchen serves meals the third Tuesday of each month at First Presbyterian Church located at 19835 East Main Street, Huntingdon. Meals are served restaurant style with drive-through available after 6 p.m. It is open to the public and there is no cost. Donations are accepted. All are invited. It is our mission to create a community atmosphere where individuals can come in and have a meal in a comfortable setting. We encourage friendly conversation, prayers and laughter. Carroll County Commission Meets Monthly
Carroll County Commission meets the second Monday of each month, 7 p.m., in the Conference Room of the Carroll County Office Complex, High Street, Huntingdon. There are no meetings in December, February, and July.

Take Off Pounds Sensibly
