Children’s Christmas Bike Run July 29
It’s Christmas in July with the McKenzie VFW Post 4939 Children’s Christmas Bike Run on July 29. The run starts at VFW McKenzie, 9750 Cherrywood Rd., McKenzie and makes stops at Huntingdon Elks Lodge, Camden Elks Lodge, T-Bone’s, JW Brewskies, and back to VFW McKenzie. Registration is at 9 a.m. and costs $20 per person. Kickstands go up at noon. There will be prizes, raffles, and 50/50 raffles. All proceeds go to the Community Children’s Christmas.

The Huntingdon Board of Education meets Wednesday, July 19 at 5 p.m. The meeting is at the Huntingdon Central Office located at 585 High St, Huntingdon.

Webb School BBQ Fundraiser
The Webb High School Alumni Association hosts a BBQ fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 29, at the historic Webb High School, to raise money for its marketing department. BBQ plates are $10 and include BBQ, baked beans, potato salad, and slaw provided by the Webb Alumni Association.

Red Sand Project Pour July 25
Join the Carroll County Health Department (633 High St., Huntingdon) for an annual Red Sand Project Pour. The interactive art exhibition designed to raise awareness of human trafficking is Tuesday, July 25 at 9 a.m. By spreading red sand in sidewalk cracks, the project brings attention to those who have “fallen through the cracks” in society. Anyone can take part in the project and join the fight against human trafficking.

Caring Hearts Food Pantry
The Caring Hearts Food Pantry offers food distribution the second Saturday of each month, 9-11 a.m., at Mt Zion United Methodist Church, 120 Mt. Zion Road, Huntingdon.

Adult Education Classes
Huntingdon Location - Adult Education Building, 14155 Paris Street. Office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Classes are offered for one-on-one instruction on Mondays, 1-4 p.m. and Thursdays, 9 a.m. to NOON. For more information, phone 731-364-5481.

Shepherd’s Table Community Kitchen
The Shepherd’s Table community kitchen serves meals the third Tuesday of each month at First Presbyterian Church located at 19835 East Main Street, Huntingdon. Meals are served restaurant style with drive-through available after 6 p.m. It is open to the public and there is no cost. Donations are accepted. All are invited. It is our mission to create a community atmosphere where individuals can come in and have a meal in a comfortable setting. We encourage friendly conversation, prayers and laughter. Smalltown Cruisers Antique Car Club Meets Monthly

Bethel University students begin classes on the McKenzie campus on August 14. The Freshman Orientation begins the week of August 10.
