E911 Board To Meet September 19
The Carroll County Emergency Communications District Board of Directors will meet on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at 5 pm. The meeting is at 200 Norandal Drive, Huntingdon in the training room (this is the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office in the training room at the jail).

Fashion Show October 7
It’s time for Shivaní’s Third Annual Fashion Show with live entertainment, vendors, door prizes, and food trucks. Garments designed by Shivaní with two special guests. The event is on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at the Carroll County Civic Center, 201 Mustang Drive (Fairgrounds Rd), Huntingdon, TN 38344. Vendors open at noon and the fashion show starts at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 admission at the door. Kids 5 and under admission is free. Adult Education Classes
Huntingdon Location - Adult Education Building, 14155 Paris Street. Office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Classes are offered for one-on-one instruction on Mondays, 1-4 p.m. and Thursdays, 9 a.m. to NOON. For more information, phone 731-364-5481.

Everett’s Chapel Cemetery Association Annual Meeting
The Everett’s Chapel Cemetery Association will meet Sunday, October 1, at 2 p.m. at Union Grove Baptist Church for their annual meeting. The church is located at 1185 Union Church Road, McKenzie. Anyone with family members buried in the cemetery is invited to attend.

Free Hamburger, Hotdog Supper At Church Of Christ
McKenzie church of Christ is hosting a free hamburger and hotdog supper at their building on Highland Drive, McKenzie on Thursday, September 21, 5 to 7:30 p.m. (or until the food is gone).
Dining-in is available or drive-through if you want to pick it up and leave. The menu is hamburgers, hotdogs, dessert and a drink (for dine-in only). The meal is free to all who are hungry or in need of Christian fellowship. All you have to do is come by. Everyone is welcome. If you have questions, please call 731-352-2106 or 731-695-6575.

VFW Dance On September 30
McKenzie VFW Post 4939, Cherrywood Avenue is hosting a dance on September 30, 7 to 11 p.m. with the live band Tipsy Gypsy. The cover charge is $10. It is open to the public. For more information, call 731-352-9976.

Annual Fall Yard Sale

Join us for bargains galore at our fall yard sale on Friday, September 22 and Saturday, September 23 from 8-12 both days.
The cut-off date for donating your gently used or new items is September 19. We cannot accept mattresses, items that are broken or non-working or items that are dirty. All items must be in a condition that you would buy yourself. Thanks for understanding!
We are looking for someone to pick up all our leftover yard sale items and make a reasonable donation for those items. Let us know if interested and please let anyone know that might be interested.

Ruby Red Christmas Gala
Mark your calendars now for our Ruby Red Christmas Gala to be held on Saturday, December 2nd at The Venue at Waddell Place in McKenzie. We will send more info later but wanted you to know the date.

Cat Spay, Neuter Vouchers

We always have vouchers to help with getting cats spayed and neutered. The cost is $50 each and can only be used at the Paris Vet Clinic. There is no limit to how many vouchers you can purchase, no residency or income requirements and we make it easy to obtain. You can call us at 731-358-1019 and leave a message or text and someone will return your call. Purchase by phone using a credit/debit card and we will send you the voucher number. That will save you a trip to our office. We can always issue those in person with cash.

170th Anniversary of Union Primitive Baptist Church
Please don’t miss the chance to come and celebrate the 170th Anniversary of Union Primitive Baptist Church and worship our Lord and Savior in Spirit and Truth.
Elder Ben Cordes, Pastor of Lexington Primitive Baptist Church in Lexington, KY is our invited minister for the celebration. He will be feeding the flock on Friday Night 09/22/23 with worship beginning at 7 p.m. and supper at 5:30 p.m. On Saturday 09/23/23 we will begin worship at 10:30 a.m., lunch to follow, and worship continuing at 1:30 p.m. The weekend concludes on Sunday 09/24/23 with worship service led by our Pastor, Elder Ed Long, at 10:30 a.m. and lunch following.
If you are unable to attend, please lift us up in prayer that God be glorified and His people are fed. We are so blessed and thankful for being able to continue for 170 years in His vineyard here in West Tennessee. Peace and Love!

The Carroll County Democratic Party meets the third Thursday of every month at 6 p.m. at 12740 Lexington Street, Huntingdon.

Huntingdon Board of Education Meets Wednesday, September 20
The Huntingdon Board of Education meets Wednesday, September 20 at 5 p.m. at the Central Office, 585 High Street, Huntingdon. Individuals wishing to address the board on an agenda item must notify the director by 1 p.m. on the day of the meeting.

Smalltown Cruisers Antique Car Club
The Smalltown Cruisers Antique Car Club meets the second Thursday of every month at 6 p.m. at the Hollow Rock Fire station, 21280 Seminary Street, Hollow Rock. The monthly Cruise-Ins begin in April. For more information, contact Jan Ostiguy at 731-444-1801 or email jano1970@att.net.

Carroll County Commission Meets Monthly
Carroll County Commission meets the second Monday of each month, 7 p.m., in the Conference Room of the Carroll County Office Complex, High Street, Huntingdon. There are no meetings in December, February, and July.

McKenzie City Council Meets Monthly
The McKenzie City Council meets at 6 p.m. the second Thursday of each month.

Carroll County Republican Party Meets
The Carroll County Republican Party meets the fourth Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. in the court room of the Public Safety building, 12740 Lexington Street, Huntingdon.
