Henry County Traffic Stop Leads to Significant Drug Arrest

PARIS, Tenn. — A routine traffic stop on North Market Street resulted in a major drug seizure and arrest on July 24, 2026. Deputy Coltin Wyrick of the Henry County Sheriff’s Office stopped Jason Mobley for driving without a valid license, subsequently discovering approximately two ounces of methamphetamine and 15 grams of marijuana.
In addition to the narcotics, officers recovered $6,000 in cash, prohibited weapons, and drug paraphernalia. Mobley faces multiple charges, including possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, simple possession of a Schedule VI substance, and possession of prohibited weapons. He is currently held at the Henry County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
The arrest was a collaborative effort involving the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, the 24th Judicial Drug Task Force, and the Paris Police Department.
