Huntingdon Town Council Meets March 17

Huntingdon Mayor and Town Council convene Tuesday, March 17, 5:15 p.m. at Huntingdon City Hall. The following is the agenda for the meeting.

A. Roll call, declaration of quorum, and call to order.

B. Approval of council minutes of the February 24, 2026 regular meeting and February 24, 2026, Beer Board meeting.

C. Approval of bills and/or report of special procurements

D. Grievances or petitions from citizens

E. Communications from the mayor

1. Public Hearing relating to the proposed amendment to the Zoning Map to rezone a property (Tax Map 63, Parcel 23.00 and a portion of Crossroads Church right-of-way located directly between the two sections of property being annexed) located at the Northeast corner of Northwood Drive and Crossroads Church Road.

2. Ordinance No. 655, an ordinance amending the Official Zoning Map of Huntingdon, Tennessee, by rezoning a property (Tax Map 63, Parcel 23.00 and a portion of Crossroads Church right-of-way located directly between the two sections of property being annexed) located at the Northeast corner of Northwood Drive and Crossroads Church Road from R-1 (Low-Density Residential) to R-2 (Medium-Density Residential). The property is owned by Ashlee Young and it is proposed for development by Jason Kirby and Collin Miller. The property comprises approximately 66.8 acres, second and final reading.

3. Resolution No. 026-01, a resolution to submit the 2026 Local Parks and Recreation Fund Grant Application.

4. Resolution No. 026-02, a resolution of the Mayor and Town Council of the Town of Huntingdon, Tennessee authorizing the submission of an application for FY2026 State Community Development Block Grant Funds.

5. Resolution No. 026-03, a resolution to hire Administrative Services for the 2026 Community Development Block Grant.

6. Resolution No. 026-04, a resolution to hire Engineering Services for the 2026 Community Development Block Grant.

7. Consider entering into an agreement with Community Development Partners, LLC for administrative consulting services for the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation 2025 Local Parks and Recreation Fund Grant.

8. Consider water bill adjustment for Tommy Foster.

9. Consider water bill adjustment for Bailey’s Electrical Service.

10. Consider water bill adjustment for D’Erra Johnson.

11. Consider water bill adjustment for Nancy Fortner.

12. Consider water bill adjustment for Thomas Clark.

13. Consider Heritage Festival date change to 3rd Saturday in September 2026.

I. Suspension of the rule on agenda items

1. Ordinance no. 656, an ordinance to amend Title 18. Water & Sewers, Chapter 2, Wastewater Collection and Treatment Systems of the Huntingdon Municipal Code. as it pertains to the provision of Public Sewer Services regarding Installation, Maintenance, and Usage of Grinder Pump Systems, first reading.
