Mary Katherine Beard,

Mrs. Mary Katherine Beard, 97, of Bruceton, Tennessee died Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Baptist Hospital.

Funeral services are Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at 11 a.m., in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Melton officiating. Interment will follow in Flatwoods Cemetery in Benton County.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Monday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Tuesday from 9:00 A.M. until time of service.

Mrs. Beard was born on May 14, 1925, in Dallas Texas, to the late Thomas Gorley and Lillie Bell Hudson.  She was a seamstress at H.I.S. and attended Sandy Point Baptist Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Beard, and a brother, T.G. Hudson.

She is survived by two daughters, Sue Crockett (Jim) of Huntingdon, Jo Ann Beard, of Knoxville, two grandchildren, Diana Walker (Matthew) of Huntingdon, Larry Crockett (Gina) of Nashville, and three great-grandchildren, Jessica Crockett, Jamie Lynn Crockett, and Hannah Neely. She also leaves three nieces, Betty Bruce, of Jackson, Marilyn Flowers and Kathy Hicks, of Dyersburg, and a nephew L.D. Beard of Memphis.
