Mc Kenzie, TNMcKENZIE - Funeral services for Peggy Joyce Lindley are Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday, 11:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Everett’s Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Lindley, 91, died at her residence Monday, May 8, 2023. She is a member of Grace Baptist Church and retired from McKenzie Special School District Food Service as a cook. She was born in Moro, Arkansas on July 23, 1931 to Marshall and Florence Hickman Traylor.
She is survived by her daughter Peggy R. “Little Peggy” Rogers of McKenzie, three grandchildren, Reanna R. (Charles) Burch, Jeremy Evan Rogers and Justin Rooney Rogers, four great-grandchildren Lindley Devyn Rogers, Braylee Elizabeth Byrd, Rooney Hendrix Rogers and Joseph Lucky Burch, 12 nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Walter F. “Sonny” Lindley, a sister Ada Lou Green and brother Otis Dean Traylor.
