The SteelDrivers to Headline Huntingdon Heritage Festival
From the Jun 30, 2026 e-EditionHUNTINGDON (June 26) — Bluegrass group The SteelDrivers are this year’s Huntingdon Heritage Festival headliners, the Town of Huntingdon and The Dixie Carter Performing Arts Center announced Friday. The annual festival takes place in downtown Huntingdon on Saturday, September 19.
Widely recognized as one of the most influential bands in modern bluegrass, The SteelDrivers bring a distinctive sound that fuses traditional bluegrass roots with elements of country, soul and blues.
Since their formation in 2005, the band has earned widespread critical acclaim, including multiple Grammy nominations and an Americana Music Association New Artist of the Year award. Their 2015 release “The Muscle Shoals Recordings” earned a Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Recording, and their 2025 album “Outrun” continued their momentum with another Grammy nomination.
Formed in Nashville, The SteelDrivers are known for their emotionally charged songwriting, powerhouse instrumentation and a live performance style that blends grit with musical precision. Their lineup features Richard Bailey (banjo), Tammy Rogers (fiddle), Mike Fleming (bass), Brent Truitt (mandolin) and Matt Dame (guitar).
The festival also features a lineup of local and regional artists leading up to The SteelDrivers’ headline performance:

This free community event invites residents and visitors alike to enjoy an evening of live music and celebration in downtown Huntingdon.
