Tatertown Special Calendar

A night of praise and worship featuring the Bethel Renaissance Choir. This performance is at the Gleason First Baptist Church on Sunday, August 28, at 6 p.m.

 

The 2022 Tatertown Block Party is Monday Night, August 29th, in downtown Gleason. There will be a DJ from 6 p.m. until dark. Activities include a sidewalk chalk art contest, train rides, fire truck rides, costume contest and much more. Plan on eating with us as there will be several food trucks present. 

 

Fire up those grills for the last big cook-out of the summer and participate in the Tatertown Community BBQ on Friday Night, September 2. Specialties to choose from include BBQ, chicken, ribs, hamburgers and hotdogs. There will be a Jr. Sweet Potato Bake-off for Pre-K through 5th Grade. Entries must be in the cook booth by 5 p.m.. Gates open to the public at 5:30 p.m. Admission is $7 and eat till it’s gone. There will be live entertainment by the band Flashback.

 

Tatertown Golf Scramble at Rolling Hills Miniature Golf Course is Tuesday Night, August 30, beginning at 6 p.m. for registration. Tee Times: Ages 5-9 at 6:30 p.m.; 10-14 at 6:45 p.m. and 15 and up at 7 p.m. Cost is $10 per player.

 

The Gleason Gazelles, along with Hometown Health Clinics, are sponsoring the annual JC Carey 5k Memorial Run on Saturday, September 3. Entries will register in front of the Gleason School at 6:30 a.m. The race will begin 7 a.m. 

 

The Gleason Gazelles invite everyone to participate in the parade on Saturday, September 3, beginning at 10 a.m. Kids are invited to decorate bikes, trikes, 4-wheelers, go-carts, etc., and ride in the Junior Parade. Registration is in front of Gleason Lumber Company starting at 9 a.m. Registration for the Grand Parade is in the old Legion Parking Lot at 9 a.m. Trophies will be awarded in several categories. All horse entries will register at the Gleason Saddle Club. 

 

On Wednesday Night, August 31, the Gleason Gazelles and area Churches will sponsor youth bingo. A short devotional will follow. 

 

The Gleason Gazelles and Woodmen Life are sponsoring a night of free “Bingo On The Gazelle Grounds”. The fun starts at 7 p.m on Thursday Night, September 1. Free admission. You must be 18 to participate.

 

The Gleason Gazelles wish to invite area arts and crafts dealers and local merchants to set up booths at the 2022 Tatertown Special on Saturday, September 3. The setup fee is $25. For more information call Katlin Gaylord at 418-2055 or Tara Cooper at 514-6041.
