The Shepherd’s Table Will Serve June 15, June 22
From the Jun 15, 2021 e-EditionHUNTINGDON — The Shepherd’s Table, Huntingdon’s community kitchen, will serve twice this month, on the third and fourth Tuesday in June. Due to COVID-19 safety procedures, volunteers will serve contact-free drive-through and take-out only meals. There will not be a dine-in option until further notice.
The first of the two meals served this month is June 15th at the First Presbyterian Church of Huntingdon at 19835 E. Main Street. Dinner is served from 5 to 7 p.m.
The meal on June 22nd is at the First United Methodist Church in Huntingdon, located at 201 Asbury Circle. The meal is served from 5 to 7 p.m.
Follow the signs and the proctors for directions to each site. The Shepherd’s Table is open to the public at no cost. Over the last couple of years, The Shepherd’s Table has fed as many as 140 people in one evening. Feel free to join us for supper, no matter your situation. Groups are encouraged.
Meals are freshly prepared by a hard-working volunteer staff. Sometimes hosts and businesses donate prepared items. The meals are always hot and fresh.
The community kitchen was created by a group of volunteers that saw a need in the Carroll County community. Its success depends on your support. Both volunteers and donations are welcomed.
For more information about volunteering or donating to the Shepherd’s Table, call the First Presbyterian Church of Huntingdon at (731) 986-5642. If there is no answer, please leave a message. Someone will get back to you as soon as possible.
