Key Things to Know During a Burn Advisory

The Carroll County Fire Department issued a county-wide Burn Advisory on Sunday, March 29, due to high winds and dry conditions. These conditions significantly increase the risk of rapid-spread, uncontrollable fires.
“Prevention is our best defense,” wrote the Carroll County Fire Department.
During a burn advisory, individuals are asked to avoid burning brush, trash or debris; properly dispose of cigarettes; and be cautious with anything that could spark a fire.
It is important to know that even small debris burns can quickly turn into large incidents.
