Two Arrested on Felony Drug Charges in Henry

HENRY COUNTY (April 23) — The Henry County Sheriff’s Office and the 24th Judicial Drug Task Force have arrested two on felony drug charges after conducting searches of the residences in Henry County.
The first search warrant was executed on April 20 at the home of Johnnie Smith, 46, of Chickasaw Road.
During the search of Smith’s home a felony amount of methamphetamine was located. Smith was charged with possession of Schedule II with Intent to Sale, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Violation of Probation. These charges were enhanced because the residence is located in a drug-free zone near Ogburn Park. Smith is held without bond.
The second search warrant was executed on April 23 on Poplar Grove Road in Springville, Tenn., at the home of Monroe and Teresa Shaw.
During the search, officers found approximately 1/4 pound of meth, a felony amount of cocaine, marijuana and one handgun. Teresa Shaw, 62, was charged with Sale of Schedule II. Shaw is held on a $500,000 bond.
According to Henry County Sheriff Josh Frey, this case is still under investigation and more charges are pending.
