McKenzie, Tenn - Funeral services for William “Bill” H. Stoner are Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 15, 5 to  8 p.m. and Tuesday 10 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Tenn. State Veterans Cemetery at Parkers Crossroads.

The officiant is Brother Harrell Nation. Pallbearers to serve are Micky Stafford, Hunter Stafford, Landon Johnson, Spiros Roditis, Stafford Roditis and Derek Galey, and honorary pallbearers are Thomas Oakley, Mike Myers, Jimmy Padgett, Walt Shymkiw, Richard Chappell, Glenn Hayes, Paul Stoner, Zene Malinski and Keith Johnson

Mr. Stoner, 80, died Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. 

He was a member of McKenzie First United Methodist Church and was a member of the chancel choir, a Marine veteran, a plant manager at Whirlpool, Springfield and after retirement, he worked for Lowes and Sears.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Beasley Stoner of McKenzie, a son, William David Stoner of O’Fallon, Illinois, daughter, Nanette Tate of Seattle, Washington, sister, Diane Stafford, and brother Paul Stoner, both of McKenzie, six grandchildren, Natalie Stoner, Ethan Tate, MicKenzie (Derek) Galey, Graham (Sarah) Tate, Simon (Danielle) Tate and Sydney Beasley and one great-grandson, Walker Wray Galey.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sons, Mitch Beasley and Micah Beasley, sister, Mary Dixon and brother Lonnie Stoner, Jr.
