McKenzie Police Reports


DUI — William T. Carter, 54, Highway 436, McKenzie was charged with DUI and implied consent after a traffic stop on July 22.

Officer Kyle Beauchamp stopped a vehicle driven by Carter after the officer observed the driver operating the car erratically. After several field sobriety tests, the officer charged Carter with DUI and failure to consent to a blood-alcohol test. His vehicle was towed from the scene and Carter was transported to Carroll County Jail.

DUI #2, Driving on Revoked — Porter Cunningham, Jr., 55, Everett Street, McKenzie, was charged with DUI #2 and driving on suspended license on July 23.

Officer Darren Davis was dispatched to Thompson Avenue where a vehicle was stuck in the ditch. Officer Davis determined the driver, Porter Cunningham was DUI. A series of field sobriety tests led to the arrest of Cunningham for DUI. He also refused a blood-alcohol test and was charged with violation of implied consent. The vehicle was seized and the driver was arrested.

Assault, Disorderly Conduct — Andrea Lee Marise, 31, Winchester Street, McKenzie and Casey Charles Hilliard, 33, Winchester Street, McKenzie were both charged after an incident on July 23.

According to a report by Officer Trey Boucher.

The victims were driving along Winchester Street when they were stopped because three people were standing on the road. An incident started with Marise striking the car, but not damaging it and Hillard striking the rear-seat passenger through an open window. Marise was cited for disorderly conduct and Hillard was cited for assault.

Theft — A downtown resident reported the theft of her Ring doorbell on July 20. There was no video recording of the theft.
