CHATTANOOGA (December 2) — The McKenzie Rebel football team has brought gold home to McKenzie just in time for Christmas. The Rebels defeated Clay County Friday afternoon, 34-14. This was McKenzie’s first state championship win for football in three appearances at the state championship round, 2007, 2021, and 2022.

McKENZIE (December 1) — Westview Lady Chargers (Class 2A) and McKenzie Lady Rebels (Class 2A), both state champions in their respective divisions, met in McKenzie for a rematch of the 2021 game that resulted in only one of two losses en route to the school’s first ladies basketball championship.

My response was simple, I think you’ve reached the wrong person. Never in a thousand years would I think my name would come up as a beauty pageant judge. Well, that was not the case.

I missed Black Friday completely. I must have been one of the few. Most accounts put the total amount of purchases for this year’s most famous “shopping day” over the nine billion dollar mark.
