West Carroll High School to Host Wrestling Fundraiser The West Carroll High School Football program is hosting a Memphis Wrestling Fundraiser at the high school, 760 Hwy 77 in Atwood, Tenn., on Friday, May 5, 2023 from 7-9 p.m. Tickets are $10 general admission or $15 for ringside. Carroll County Chamber Hosts National Day of Prayer The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the 72nd Annual National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at 8 a.m. at the Carroll County Airport. The theme for 2023, is Pray fervently in righteousness and avail much emphasizing the need for individuals, corporately and individually, to return to the God of our Fathers in reverence for his Holy name. The national theme comes from James 5:16, where it says, “Pray fervently in righteousness and avail much.” The public is invited to attend as we pray for our nation, our state, our county, and our neighbors. Kappa Sigma Golf Tournament The Kappa Sigma Golf Tournament is Saturday, April 15, at 1305 Carroll Lake Road, McKenzie. The tournament is a four-man scramble and includes free breakfast and lunch, raffles, bundles, prizes, closest to the pin and putting contests. Tee off time is 8 a.m. and the cost per team is $200.
