HUNTINGDON (March 27) — McKenzie played Adamsville in their first game of the Diamond Classic. The Rebels were down by one at the end of the first inning. McKenzie was still in the game and scored one run in the second inning followed by another run in the third. more
McKENZIE — Bethel University Men’s Basketball Coach Jeff Britt announced the signing of McKenzie’s Christopher Beck recently. Beck will serve as a student- assistant for the Wildcats. more
McKenzie (March 21) — McKenzie brought home their first win against Gleason. Lane Anderson pitched and only let two people on base with zero runs earned. There were four runs in the first inning. The Rebels got one in the fourth inning. McKenzie ended the game in the fifth inning with five more runs. Tate Surber hit a double that sent Jake Cassidy and Hayden Garrett ending the game 10-0. more

MURFREESBORO (March 12) — Savannah Davis is the TSSAA Miss Basketball Class 1A for 2024. The senior at McKenzie High School also earned the title in 2022, her sophomore year. more
HUNTINGDON (March 12) — The McKenzie Rebels played their third game of the season against Stewart County in the CP Classic. more
HOUSTON COUNTY (February 26, 27) — McKenzie basketball traveled to Houston County in the regional tournament last week looking to extend to their basketball season. The Lady Rebels faced off against the Wayne County Lady Wildcats while the Rebels battled the Frank Hughes Lions. Both McKenzie teams were unsuccessful in pulling off the wins as their season drew to a close. more
McKENZIE (February 25) — On Sunday, the state finalist Rebel football team was recognized for their phenomenal season. more
McKenzie (February 24) — The Rebels came out ready; they started the game with a 13-0 run. McKenzie was just as fierce on the defensive end, holding Collinwood to only four points in the first quarter. With a few big plays from Stafford Roditis and some threes from Hayden Garrett, the Rebels ended the first quarter up 24-4. more
McKENZIE (February 23) — Perry County came out hot scoring the first five points of the quarter. McKenzie quickly retaliated with a basket from Madeline Gottshall and a three from Molly French. more
HOUSTON COUNTY (February 16) — The Lady Rebels struggled in the first quarter while McEwen came out ready with a game plan. They double-teamed Savannah Davis on defense and out-scored McKenzie 15-2 by the end of the first quarter. more
McKENZIE (February 12, 13) — Lady Rebels started the playoffs with a bang. McKenzie dominated Bruceton with a final score of 73-31. The win sent them to their fourth consecutive district championship. more
McKENZIE — Senior Rebel Cheerleaders: Ava Jones. She is the 18-year old daughter of Kevin and Melissa Jones. Ava plans to attend UTM and major in biology. more
McKENZIE (February 5) — Tate Surber, a junior at McKenzie High School, landed his 1,000th career point on Monday in a contest with Big Sandy. more
HERMITAGE (February 8) — McKenzie Lady Rebel Senior Savannah Davis was named finalists for the 2024 TSSAA Class 1A’s Miss Basketball award. more
McKENZIE (February 8) — Lady Rebels start the game off early with a 2-0 lead. Houston County matched the Lady Rebels’ intensity, going shot for shot as McKenzie ends up trailing 10-8 halfway through the first quarter. Lady Rebel Savannah Davis came alive with three three-pointers, starting the Lady Rebels’ 10-0 run, putting McKenzie up 18-10 at the end of the first quarter. more
BIG SANDY (February 9) — For the Lady Rebels, the first quarter was off to a slow start as three games early in the week seemed to take its toll. more

Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) has added McKenzie native Max Arnold Jr. to its football coaching staff. Arnold will serve as the special teams quality control coach for the Blue Raiders. more
